Derek has been performing standards for more than 15 years in the area, and Valentine's Day is one of his specialties. Tickets are $30 to $42. Prior to the movie, Ricki Derek will be performing some classically romantic songs!

For the Foodie Lover, just about every restaurant in Dallas will be offering an awesome menu for Valentine’s Day. In particular, Dallas Chop House, III Forks, and Dallas Fish Market will ne presenting Valentine’s Dinners that your significant other will not soon forget. Dallas Fish Market’s 2017 Valentine’s Day menu includes combinations of flavors with fine catches from global waters, and ingredients often credited for heightening the romance around the table. From oysters with spruce ash, to spicy dishes with luxurious artistry, to edible flowers, there is a “dash of aphrodisiac” throughout the Dallas Fish Market Valentine’s menu this year. There will be three courses, with wine and sake pairings!

III Forks will cover a Sweetheart Menu, perfect for pairing with your romantic partner. This three course menu will include Lobster Bisque, two 6-ounce Filet Mignons accompanied by two 6-ounce Cold Water Rock Lobster Tails, served with whipped potatoes, sugar snap peas, off-the cob cream corn, vine-ripened tomatoes and spring onions. And for dessert? An incredible Chocolate Lover’s Dessert!

Dallas Chop House will serve a three course prix fixe dinner, with wine pairings also available a la carte! The menu features selections beyond the everyday to make the Valentine’s dinner a true celebration – creating a spirit of luxurious adventure for sharing that also makes the table experience for Valentine’s even more outstanding for the holiday. For the Outdoorsy Couple, attend Valentine’s Day at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens! For Valentine's Day, the garden will stay open until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 14, encouraging couples to pack a picnic, purchase food from Bellatrino Brick Oven pizza food truck and stop by the kissing booth at Cafe on the Green, open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. While eating, sweethearts and families can watch the sunset and listen to live music on the Martin Rutchik Concert Stage and Lawn later that evening. Admission is $5 per person plus parking.

For Lovers of the Arts, celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Wild Detectives as they team up with Spiderweb Salon to present a very special collection of collaborative performances by artists from all over the DFW area. Bring yourself, your loved ones, and friends to an evening of creativity that won’t soon be forgotten. Every performance will feature brand-new work tenderly crafted by people who love each other. There will be poetry, music, art, books, coffee, beer, and fantastic performances all evening.

For Theater Lovers, take your partner to the Dallas theater tradition of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, slightly revamped with a new staging this year. This play remains a hilarious send-up of relationships, illustrated through a series of vignettes. This musical revue of the suburban dating game, revived yearly by Theatre Three with great success, is Off-Broadway’s longest running musical. It explores the ups and downs of romance, marriage, and, of course, in-laws. The show is also proposal friendly—in Dallas at least 57 men have pulled out a ring during its run. Luckily for those brave souls (and the audience), each of those proposals was followed by a “yes.” Pay a little extra for a ticket for a Valentine's Day weekend performance and get chocolate, champagne, and flowers!

Are you and your partner Science Lovers? Luckily for you, Neil deGrasse Tyson will taking you and your significant other on a trip through the cosmos as the astrophysicist holds an awesome seminar on his favorite subjects: space, and our role in it! Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson headlines the AT&T Performing Arts Center’s 3rd season of #hearhere, Dallas’ coolest, most eclectic speaker series – featuring icons from the arts and sciences. The speakers’ groundbreaking imaginations, humor and knowledge have been instrumental in shaping the way we communally experience not only literature, society, and film; but our lives, our world, and even our universe itself! Experience the love of curiosity, the love of science, and the love of logic with your true love this Valentine’s Day!

Are you looking to celebrating Valentine’s Day as a Family? Celebrate early on February 11th at Heats in the Park 2017! Head to Klyde Warren Park and celebrate the day of love with family-friendly activities followed by a screening of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast!
