Tuesdays aren’t always fun. They’re only the second day of the week and everyone’s usually busy with work or school or running errands for the week. This past Tuesday, however, Premier Transportation made it a truly fun one! After all, what’s more fun than getting a group of friends together to have an adventure? On September 27th, Premier Transportation performed its initial Magnolia Market Tour! Read on to discover how the trip went, and how you can sign up for a fun, similar adventure in the future!

The Beginning

Owner and President of the company, Eric Devlin, felt that the development of the Coach Bus department would be the beginning of many interested tours and exciting trips for current and potential clients. Mr. Devlin met with the Premier Transportation sales and marketing team, and the group brainstormed ideas for how to attract new clients and also provide interesting trips for current clients. The result of this brainstorming session was the development of the Magnolia Market Tour! Magnolia Market is a home décor shop that sells a range of accessories people can use to create the aesthetic of the show Fixer-Upper featuring Chip and Joanna Gaines.  Excited to begin planning, the sales and marketing team quickly created a flier to disseminate and began taking reservations for the trip, with people calling in from all over the DFW metroplex. Excited by the idea of a trip to see Magnolia Market at the Silos, grabbing lunch, and enjoying shopping at Spice Village, groups began calling in. The sales and marketing team developed a schedule for the day and reserved a fantastic and modern Mercedes Sprinter Van to take down the group of women interested in a Magnolia Market Tour.

The Trip

The morning of September 27th was overcast and cool, making it a wonderful fall day! Everyone who had made reservations for the trip arrived at the North Park parking lot early in the morning. The women boarded the vehicle, carrying breakfast and coffee and excited for the day’s adventure! After all, Magnolia Market at the Silos has a little something for everyone. There’s shopping, games, the garden, and even food trucks to grab a bite to eat. The Market itself is staged and set up with one goal in mind: to inspire excitement about decorating your home.  The trip to Waco was relatively short on this weekday morning, and we arrived at the Magnolia Market around 10:30am.

As we pulled up, we loved the look of the market and appreciated how well-prepared the Market is for visitors! The women walked into the market and spent over an hour just wandering up and down the building, shopping and viewing gorgeous and adorable items to decorate their homes. After shopping, the women walked over the big green lawn at the center of the property, which offers a big box full of games for families to play. The food trucks on the other side of the lawn supplied lunch for the tour. Women on the tour ate delicious macaroni and cheese from the Cheddar Box, incredible pizza from 900 Degrees pizzeria, and fantastic sandwiches from Milo.

After eating lunch, everyone toured the garden. Joanna's vision was that the garden would be a space where the family can explore together and learn the lessons of the garden. There's a wooden teepee to adventure under, beds filled with seasonal produce and flowers, and our garden shop, Magnolia Seed and Supply. This little shop sells gardening tools, flower-growing kits for the kiddos, fairy garden supplies, and unique vessels to plant in. Once the garden had been toured, everyone filed into the much-awaited bakery to purchase cupcakes, cookies, and other delicious desserts. In this bakery, they cook Joanna Gaines’ personal recipes and hand-picked favorites. Most of the tour attendees bought many sweet treats to take home to their families.

After touring Magnolia Market, the sprinter van transported the tour attendees to Spice Village. Spice Village is a collection of shops that has everything you need to add a little or a lot of zest to your life! Since 1997, Spice Village has been the dream shopping experience. As a store where everyone can come in and find something, they have taken Destination Shopping to the next level. With more than 90 various shops under one roof, one can feel as if they are offered the very best products to choose from, selection and variety notwithstanding. Between the endless options of apparel, accessories, home décor, and vintage finds, they offer just the right combination of affordable and luxurious products, making it the perfect shopping experience! Magnolia Market Tour attendees walked all over the collection of shops and purchased items that called to them.

Eventually, everyone returned to the sprinter van and we drove back to the mall where their cars were waiting for them!

The Result

The attendees had a blast and loved being a part of such a fun day with their friends. Everyone loved the vehicle, and loved being able to tour Magnolia Market on a day when it’s not so busy. The shopping experience was a dream for everyone, and it was so fun to be able to plan such a fantastic day for this fabulous group!
