Starting at 11:59 p.m. CT on Saturday, Dec. 31, Hunt Realty and Reunion Tower are collaborating with AT&T to bring a very special New Year’s Eve event to Dallas. The Reunion Tower will illuminate the night sky in the final moments of 2016 with a fireworks show featuring more than 4,000 pyrotechnics. Many locations around the city will host watch parties for revelers ringing in the New Year with the perfect view of Reunion Tower. The best vantage points will be on the west side of the Trinity River, along the levees and Trinity Overlook Park or Trinity Groves. The music score will be simulcast on NOW 102.9 FM.
Due to safety requirements, the Reunion Tower lawn will be closed to the public. Vehicle access will be restricted in the immediate vicinity of Reunion Tower and the Hyatt Regency Hotel and there will not be public viewing areas in this space. In addition, Sports Street and Hotel Street will be closed to traffic. Only credentialed media will be permitted to access the media area via Reunion Boulevard and Sports Street, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars with access to the skyline for a viewing of the event.
